Miley Cyrus New Music Album Breakout

Whether you see it or not, Miley Cyrus is not a little girl anymore. With the fan base created through her likeness, “Hanna Montana”, Cyrus proves that she has still got what it takes to entertain her audience. With the new CD “Breakout” hitting music stands, the album offers a sound that is updated and ready for the changing world. She has come a long way to be a popular teenage idol. With her father Billy Raye Cyrus, famous for the tune “Achey Breaky Heart” and others, Miley has a new album worthy of her family’s career.

“Breakout” offers many tracks that will entertain the audience for hours. With the mix of Country and Pop, Cyrus offers a great music to a wide audience. “Breakout” is the first album that has no connection to her alias Hanna Montana. Great New Music Releases For Winter 2010

Well, we’re only a few weeks into the year but 2010 has been a meaningful year in the music world already. Starting out a new decade is always interesting, and the beginning of this one has been no exception so far.

We’ve seen some great releases through the first few weeks of 2010 and I’d like to discuss a few of them briefly. Since my focus is generally on indie rock, these selections will all come from that realm of the music world.

Finding New Music

Back in the day, one had to go out and physically search for new music, either at the store or at a live show. That method is obsolete. Today, you can find all kinds of new and unheard of music at the click of a mouse. The music store is out and online shopping is in. There are many websites like Bandcamp and Beatport that offer downloadable content at the same price as an audio CD. The advantage here is that you don’t have to waste valuable time and money getting to the store and you don’t have to worry about your purchase getting damaged in any way. Each site has its own search engine if you are looking for something in particular, and you can browse through a number of categories such as release date, genre, etc.

Another advantage of downloading music from the internet is that these websites will show you albums that are related to your search in some way or other. It could be by the same artist, or it could be the same genre, or it could even be a completely different artist and genre that happens to have the same name (This has happened to me by the way). In this spirit, you can sit at your computer the entire day, just exploring all the related albums the website throws at you. Most times, you may not find anything that will interest you, but when you do, you will feel that all the wasted hours were worth it. Read the rest of this entry »
